2. What data we process

We store the following data to provide Strena:

• account data: your Clerk user ID and your email address, which we copy from Clerk when you first sign in. We use the email address to identify your account and to give admin access to the people who run Strena;
• account metadata: when the account was created, the time of your last activity (updated at most once an hour), whether you have finished onboarding, whether the account is an admin account, your unit preference and your minimum plate size;
• training data: your estimated one-rep maxes, working weights and progression state, your sessions (start and finish times, the planned work, sets you mark done or failed, and the session summary), the recovery and lower-back answers you give when you finish a session, and per lift results such as completed sets, the load you dropped to, last-set effort, and whether form or bar speed broke down; and
• preference data: your equipment settings and the accessory exercises you select.

Clerk also holds your sign-in details (such as your email address and login methods) under its own privacy policy. We do not store passwords.

3. Why we process data

We process personal data to:

• provide the Strena service;
• create and manage user accounts;
• generate and store workout programming and training history;
• maintain service security and prevent misuse; and
• comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal bases

We process personal data on the basis of:

• performance of a contract;
• legitimate interests, including service security, maintenance, and abuse prevention; and
• legal obligation, where required by law.

5. Service providers

We use service providers to operate Strena, including:

• Clerk for authentication; and
• hosting and database providers for server and storage infrastructure.

These providers may process personal data on our behalf or under their own legal responsibilities, depending on the service provided.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Strena uses only cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for core service functionality, such as authentication, secure session management, and related site operation.

Strena does not use analytics cookies or advertising cookies on strena.fit.

7. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Data may be deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or request portability of your personal data.

You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Finland, this is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman. Finnish law applies GDPR through the Finnish Data Protection Act.

9. Transfers

Personal data may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.

10. Automated functionality

Strena uses rule-based logic to generate workout prescriptions from the data you provide. It does not use AI or large language models for that purpose.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be available on strena.fit.
