We process personal data needed to provide Strena, including:

• account and login data, including Clerk user ID and related authentication identity data;
• account metadata, such as account creation date, trial end date, onboarding status, session count, unit preference, and minimum plate size;
• training data, such as working weights, workout sessions, set logs, lift results, and lift progression state;
• preference data, such as equipment settings and selected accessory exercises; and
• subscription data, including Stripe customer ID, Stripe subscription ID, subscription status, and billing period end.

We do not store your full payment card details. Payments are handled by Stripe.

3. Why we process data

We process personal data to:

• provide the Strena service;
• create and manage user accounts;
• generate and store workout programming and training history;
• manage free trials and subscriptions;
• maintain service security and prevent misuse; and
• comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal bases

We process personal data on the basis of:

• performance of a contract;
• legitimate interests, including service security, maintenance, and abuse prevention; and
• legal obligation, where required by law.

5. Service providers

We use service providers to operate Strena, including:

• Clerk for authentication;
• Stripe for payments and subscription management;
• Turso for database infrastructure; and
• Vercel for hosting and server infrastructure.

These providers may process personal data on our behalf or under their own legal responsibilities, depending on the service provided.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Strena uses only cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for core service functionality, such as authentication, secure session management, and related site operation.

Strena does not use analytics cookies or advertising cookies on strena.fit.

If payment is completed through Stripe, Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies on Stripe’s own domain in accordance with Stripe’s own policies.

7. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the service, manage subscriptions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Data may be deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or request portability of your personal data.

You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Finland, this is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman. Finnish law applies GDPR through the Finnish Data Protection Act.

9. Transfers

Personal data may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.

10. Automated functionality

Strena uses rule-based logic to generate workout prescriptions from the data you provide. It does not use AI or large language models for that purpose.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be available on strena.fit.
